new tires
Hi guys - I'm looking for some advice - I use my klr primarily on
pavement with some gravel. Dealer is recommending D207's any
suggestions? Thanks, Dale

I'd recommend the Avon Gripsters, or maybe the Metzzler Tourances. With well setup suspension and sticky tires, the KLR is a hoot to dash through the twisites. Quick and sticky, Fan-damn-tastic! new tires
After looking for an excuse to switch from the TKC80's, I decided on another pair. The tire
did so well keeping me with to the Aprillia Caponord and a big FZR in the smokey and blue
ridge mtns on one afternoon that I can't rationalize switching.
5.10 for the back but what size do you suggest for the front. Is anyone using 3.25 up
there??

oil leak on 2006.
I too had an oil leak on a 2006 but mine was around a portion of the
oil filter cap. I had posted some pics back in March / April on this
site. The leak looked worse than it was because of riding on new
gravel roads and the dust collected in the oil.
Anyway the dealer replaced the cap and the internal O-ring under
warranty. No more leaks and I've changed the oil filter again on my
own so it must be the proper fix (new cap).
