chain slider

I've got my A14 rear end apart awaiting sprockets & chain. I thouhgt I might up grade the chain slider to a slip style that can be installed with the swing arm in place & made of UHMW PE but I can't find one. Any suggestions?

You'll probably have to make your own ... www.mcmaster.com Or, if you have a plastics shop near you, they probably have some scrap you can use. --John Kokola -----Original Message----- From: rsanders30117 I've got my A14 rear end apart awaiting sprockets & chain. Dan at dirtly.com offers sliders for the KLR made out of high-density polyurethane. His website got hacked up, so you'll need to call 800-522-6257 to order. Here's the info: Front slider, part #1079 $44.95. It's a little pricey, but works great and will probably outlast the bike. Can be made in a variety of colors and installs without removing the swingarm. Rear, part #1080 $24.95. I also have one of these on my Tengai. I like the stiffness of the stock one better. I bought it because I had the cash at the time and it was available in Kawasaki racing green to match my bike. It would be great if he made a wrap-around version that surrounded and guided the chain instead. He also makes 1" bar risers for ~$34.00 Mark At 12:14 PM -0400 5/5/05, John Kokola wrote:

Dan Oakes at _www.dirtly.com_ (http://www.dirtly.com) offers a KLR slider that is split so it goes on without having to take off the swing arm. I've had one for a couple of years and it has held up well. Your slider may not be worn out, the side plates wear grooves in the slider until the rollers make contact and then they generally last for many miles after that point.
