Hi everyone,
I tried starting my Tengai yesterday for the first time.
I took apart the carb and cleaned it (fuel was kinda jello-eee). I
screwed in one of the pins all the way down and then unscrewed it to
see how many turns (like the manual said)... I counted 3 3/4.
Try starting her with choke and she would start and then day a few
seconds later.... tried again and same thing... tried with choke and
throttle and she would start for 5 seconds and then die.
Any ideas?
I have a second carb from an 89 KLR and it was slightly different: it
had no washer (or shim) on the long needle/pin and the bottom pin had
a cover on it (the one you turn).... should I try removing the cover?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John C.
