I am nearing the 600 mile checkup that my dealer recomends for my
KLR650. It will cost about $100 and he will change the oil, tighten
everything, do the valve adjustments and all the recomended service.
My question is it worth it to have him do this, or can I do it myself?

riding gear recomendations for tall rider
At a lower price-point you can get jackets/pants from Firstgear in
tall sizes. I haven't been able to find any 1-piece suits with armor
in tall sizes (not counting Aerostich). I'm 6'2" / 160lb and the 34
long pants fit well enough. I tried on a XL Tall Kilimanjaro jacket
in the store and ended up ordering a L Tall online and haven't taken
posession of it so I cannot comment as to its fit.
Each of the below comes in an "Air" variant, which I know little about
but one could imagine would be more appropriate for summer
temperatures. From everything I've read you won't have trouble
keeping warm in the Firstgear stuff below (or dry for that matter),
but if you live in a very hot area I have read they can run pretty
hot. However, take note of which "variant" of the Kilimanjaro you are
reading about when you do your research -- I am pretty sure Firstgear
responded to leaks / lack of venting issues in the later versions (and
the Kilimanjaro 4.0 is the latest).

I also need a longer inseam length with a waist size range 33-36. I'd prefer gear that can be used in range of varying temps if possible. Mid 40's up to 80's if possible. I'd also prefer some amour or trauma plates for some of the critical areas. > > What's your experience if your in this size range?
