v-strom pricing

Mike et al, I think that it is a coo that they were able to get a homogenious street legal, dirt bike accepted in all 50 states. IN fact, I was contemplating on buying one. My biggest issue is with the stability of the company. Currently, they are well off financially but what about in the future? One of my long time riding buddies had a '85 510 and the thing ripped assuming you could start it (kick start on the other side of the bike). He went three years with not being able to get some unique parts. All of the engineers left the company to form another. The reliabilty of the company is an unknow and was my biggest reservation. Posting this for a friend. Bike is low miles (just over 1000), has more goodies added than I knew existed, located in eastern Oregon. Bike was set up for a trip to Alaska, he later decided to take a KTM950 instead. Heres the details.
