Has anyone tried the adjustable type lowering links like the ones from scootworks? What do you think about them? Sorry if this appears as a double post my posts lately haven't been showing up. Also I'm not receiving most of the messages from the list like I used to. -Mike

My brother uses what I think you are referring to - links that have a choice of 3 holes for 1,2 or 3 inch effective drops. They work but have a couple of issues. 1. Depending on which hole you use, the remainder will hang down a good bit, looking funking and causing some ground clearance issues. 2. He was not able to continue the use of his Dual Star center stand since the cross brace hits the portion of the lower links that hangs down. I would suggest you go with a fixed length link, preferrable of about one inch since there is already limited ground clearance on the KLR coupled dangers of tire/fender clearance issues if you lower the bike more than one inch. I inseam is only 30 in. but I do well with the one inch drop and a slightly lowered seat. For what its worth, Doug Newton
