klr650 wanted

Post by k650dsn@aol.com » Sun Apr 30, 2000 9:38 pm

A friend of mine is looking for a 96 or later KLR650 in good to very good condition. Prefers low miles and the more extras the better. Willing to pick up in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico or West Texas. E-mail me offline with details of the bike and for his phone number. Thanks. Gino

Hi everyone. I'm new to the list and am looking for a KLR650 to buy. I'm in south Florida but am willing to travel for the right deal. If you know of any late model (1999-2002) KLR650's for sale please email me at lbank84@... Thanks. Larry

Is anyone considering selling their KLR650? Budget maximum is $3000. Within 600 miles of Iowa, please, but I'll go farther for the right deal. All, I m looking for a used KLR650. I'm not concerned about looks or age, just that it is mechanically sound. Looking to spend under $2000. If anyone has any information, please let me know. You can reach me at roadkill_db@.... Thank You...Dean

Eric, FWIW, I carry a small stove that uses gas, and an aluminum 1.5L pot, a cup and fork and spoon. For breakfast I boil the 1.5L water and have a cup of International flavored instant coffee while my Cup of Noodles is steeping, then another cup after the noodles. Lick the spoon and all done. Lunch is a can of sardines and 'crackers and cheese' pack, and water. For supper I go all out: heat a 16 - 20 oz can of stew directly on the stove w/ the lid removed, stirring regularly till hot, then eat it w/ the spoon followed by a chocolate pudding desert. Lick the spoon and it's done. I can carry three days of rations in my tank bag (the six-pack of beer is in the trunk), and my 1.5L water bottle is in the duffel bag w/ tent, sleeping bag, etc. (The empty stew can can be used to obviate the need to get out of the tent in the middle of the night for a pee break....) Cheers, Ed
