thinking about buying a klr

Post by benoy25 » Mon Dec 19, 2005 6:57 pm

Hey everyone, I'm glad to join such a massive group so devoted to the kawasaki KLR 650. I've been researching motorcycles for the past 3 years and never really got the chance to buy one. I am a college student and low on funds. Any way, I think I've finally made a decision and the KLR seems to suit my adventuristic as well as civilized needs. No offense to anyone out there. Are there any stories anyone would like to share about their first KLR buying and riding experiences? I'm also a little stumped as to how I should go about buying a KLR, I have never bought a vehicle in my life. I prefer to buy from a private owner rather than a dealer. When I actually do go out an approach an owner, what documents should be transferred? Is there anything I shold do with the DMV or inspection agencies? I have no clue. I'm also interested in any KLR sales going on in the NYC and Long Island, NY area. If anyone is selling in these regions, please let me know. Thanks all, I hope to get to know you all a little better. Benoy

Damit! I looked for a nice used KLR for two years and I didn't even have a deer struck vehicle to trade! Good luck,,,, I had to buy new. Rod --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "Bill Lewis" wrote:
