carburator rejetting for big gun exhaust

I just installed a Big Gun exhaust on my KLR 650. It seems to run fine but I am wondering if it will need rejetting. Any thoughts? Also, I read somewhere that they fixed the doohickey on the '95 model. Does anyone know about that? Thanks, New KLR enthusiast P.S. (my best friend went out and bought a KLR 1 week after seing mine. Now his new motocross bike sits in the garage!)

Yes, if its a race series then you'll need to swap stock main jet for 150 main jet. If its a quiet series then you dont need to change anything maybe a little mixture adjust. No, Kawasaki didn't fix the doohickey problems. If its a stock one, go ahead swap it out for aftermarket one before it breaks. Keep an eye on the screws where the pipe connects to the can on Big Gun. Apply loctite when it comes loose. Welcome to list, good luck and have fun on your bike. Kenneth

1996 mid-model changes

The "new" left balancer weight/sprocket began with engine number KLE650AE032206. Additionally, ALL 1996 models have a washer on the tensioner bolt. A reading from the Gospel accoring to Klymer, 5:118. Gimme an "Amen" brotha! Coop

Rejet it or it will run really lean.

Changed the design of the clutch basket, doohickey should be replaced IMHO.

Yeah, and you'll burn more gas. Don't you care about your mother the planet, Stu ? Why not just toss the Big Guano. Bogdan, who doesn't leave a big footprint since he wears 9 narrow.
