Anyone have any comparisons between the KLR and bmw F650gs.
I was able to demo an F650GS and a Daker both ran quite well.
The klr,Tiger & F650 are on my short list for a daily commuter
through pot holed torn up roads in my 70 mile daily commute.
Thanking you in advance---great site

corbin flat seat vs. dished seat
i can touch the ground comfortably with the stock seat right now(balls
of my feet) but i have read the corbin flat seat may set me up a
little higher. i still want to be able to manuver decently off road.
but need more comfort on the highway. would i make a mistake going
with the flat seat? i have the big kawasaki bag on back so i can only
sit back until i hit that, will that be comfortable with the dished
seat? how much higher do you sit with the flat seat? thanks, seth

corbin flat seat vs. dished seat
Personally I like the dished Corbin. I also have the bag on the back and
don't find it a problem. For me it took a couple of thousand miles the
break the Corbin in (i.e.. before my butt stopped going numb). Some of the
guys have an issue with getting too personal with the tank but I don't have
that problem (not being a guy)
. I appreciate the extra (purported) inch
and a half that the Corbin gives me (probably closer to an inch) but I've
got the suspension cranked to 5. It really made a huge difference in
confidence while handling the bike at low and no speed.
