easy bead breaking
Listers,
Just got this link from another list.
http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/bead-breaker/motorcycle-tire-bead-breaker.
htm
Shows a guy breaking the bead on a motorcycle wheel/tire with a couple of
2X4s and a car. Using the long 2x4 as a lever and the car as something
handy to place one end of the lever under. I suppose it might work ok.
I'd be careful if I tried it and would support the rim where I was
pressing down. I'd guess the force could be enough in some situations to
bend a rim if a bead was stubborn and lots of force was used.
