I saw a picture of a military klr with the large fuel tank, but the tank looked different then my military tank. This one had side vent holes in the shroud and the top section near the seat looked taller. Does IMS have a new version of the KLR military tank? I never felt my tank neede the side vents, but the could be to stiffen the tank for side impact. At ESR III Matt had one of those new bad boys. He was telling us the military requested the vents for extra cooling so its become the new IMS model. In part it explains why the big tanks became a short supply, there was the period when IMS had to switch over the mold. Pat G'ville, NV
