chain and sprocket worn at 11,000 miles
Can of worms. I have actually got my best milage on first chain with
very little maintenance and occaisional WD - 40. Some swear by it. A
seroius motorcycle mechanic I know who can work on Ducati valve trains
says it dries out chains (the o rings). But he is mostly a street
rider. He recommends the Bel Ray stuff or the Scott oiler ..... but
both attract crap in the boonies. Some say Chain Wax is good for
boonies. He doesn't think so. I think the best thing about WD 40 is it
cleans the chain.

Hey guys, I am about to embark on a trip with my KLR. I just bought my
KLR this summer. If you have any sugestions that you can give me
about my bike to do such a trip it would be apreciated. Check out my
website for the information about my trip. It is going to be a good
one. I am biking from Ottawa, Canada to Argintina.
