So is $5750 plus tax (8.8%) a good price, seems like all the dealers in the Seattle area will not come below that because thaey all say they can sell them for that. Like any commodity, the price will vary by region. Your price seems to be the high end of what I've seen posted recently. Most seem to go for around $5,200; sometimes that's out-the-door and other times there are additional fees and/or taxes tacked on. It's true that the KLR is seeing a resurgence in popularity and that many dealers are selling their complete allotment. -- Blake Sobiloff San Jose, CA (USA)

It must be a recent phenomenon. I bought my 05 KLR out the door for $4750. It was on the floor all winter and spring. They got an 06 the day I was their for some parts. Really looked good, I even liked the green/black. The next week it was gone, don't know what for though.

Based on information I have gathered through the years... anything over MSRP + tax + license fees are just rip off fees. Setup and shipping are already figured into the MSRP. Tell them you know this (in a nice way) if they still don't budge, find a good price elsewhere (internet is your friend). Make a deal, buy a one way ticket and pick it up. Not only will you have a bike, you will start off with an adventure in your pocket of memories. __West

They also have a long., long history of bad dealings with customers. They are called "Cycle Burn" for a reason.

Don't pay more than $5,000 OTD. Don't limit yourself to one area. Be willing to travel a bit to get your deal. Send out emails to all the dealers within 200 miles with your OTD offer. A volume dealer will respond. Screw the service and the "after-the-sale" BS, thats what we are here for. Be patient and you will get your deal.
