fork oil level on a 2000

Post by thomk2005 » Tue Sep 06, 2005 2:54 pm

I have ordered a manual for my 2000 KLR and "it's in the mail". I started replacing the fork springs on the bike with a set of progressive springs. Does anyone happen to know the recommended fork oil level for a 2000 model 650? Also, what is the recommended air pressure for the forks. Thanks in advance....

Hmmm, a quick search of the archive turns up the recommended fork oil levels in message 129735. Kawasaki says no air pressure in the forks. -- Blake Sobiloff San Jose, CA (USA)

The fan does run at high temps, but I haven't checked to see that starts running at 60%. I can't hear it running while on the highway, so it's hard to tell, but the temps do cycle some - not sure if that's the T'stat cycling or the fan. Haven't pulled the spark plug yet - that's next.
