There have been reports on list of oil pump failures from clogged oil
screens I believe. Millerized, didn't your bike shit the bed for that
reason?

*Everybody* is going to find the screen full of gasket sealant as BigK
likes to slather that crap everywhere in the engince. Plus you'll find a
whole bunch of metal shavings and the like. If you want some idea of the
crap in the oil, next time you do an oil change, cut open the oil filter
and lay the pleated material flat. You'll see a lot of little bits of
aluminum and gasket sealants. It's amazing that our engines last as long
as they do shedded all the crap they do.

As everything KLR related, some people have no problems, some people do,
it's the nature of the beast. I'd recommend checking it for the peace of
mind. It's not hard and you'll feel better about your bike afterwards.
