skid plate fitting a klr650 c model???

Question: Does anyone know if the Moose skid plate that fits the regular KLR will fit the C model?

Ok, let's beat a dead horse instead. Can I change just the front sprocket and keep running the stock length chain? This is on an A3 but I think that only affects how the sprocket is attached, right? Jud, The DIFFERENCE is that you're starting from about 10" higher when you use the right peg!
