Those are most definitely KLR 650's. As far as I know there are no longer any KLR 250's in service, and these have a rear rack which the KLR 250 does not have. The KLR 250's had a rack with round tubes (added to militarize the bike since the KLR 250 has no rack from the factory), not the KLR-style rack with the "handles" that I see on at least one of these bikes. The gas tank used on the military KLR 250 also has bolt-on shrouds, rather than the integrated shrouds on the IMS tanks on these bikes. http://home.earthlink.net/~klr250informationexchange/military.htm has info on the military KLR 250's. -E> Did you go to the DOD site?
