'86 klr-600 13 tooth countersprocket?

Hi Folks, I am a new member who has read that there is a 13 tooth countersprocket available for the early year 650's in the FAQ section. It is my understanding that the early 650's used the same countersprocket as the earlier 600's, so I would ask if anyone is aware of the part number for that c-sprocket or for another model which fits my '86 KLR? My preference would always be to install a larger rear sprocket and longer chain but that seems to be even more difficult to find, so I am inclined in this direction, at least for a temporary fix, to overcome the factory "airplane gearing". Any info on alternative larger rear sprockets (stock 43 teeth)would also be greatly appreciated. I have machining capabilities in house if a blank center sprocket of around 50 teeth or so was available. Thanks in advance, Howard

A bit off your question, but just be aware of clearance issues with the tire and swingarm if you go much past a 14t front. I was pondering a 14/47 as I like the 14t a lot and found that one person that switched to 14/47 (dooden maybe?) just barely had 1/8" of tread to swingarm clearance after the change...it also needed a 110 link chain.

:-) I don't know about Dooden, but I'm running that combination. With the 106 link chain, it was barely clearing the swingarm. I went to a 110 tooth and it located back in the center of the adjustment now. Jake at Sagebrush Machine said he had a 13T countershaft sprocket available, but since it was so small in diameter, you had to install an "E" clip to retain it instead of the bolts splined clip. I thought about what would happen at speed if the clip came off and went with a 14T from Fred at Arrowhead. I purchased the 47T rear sprocket from www.throttlehead.com. It's made by JT Sprockets. So far, it's working fine, although it's a rare weekend that I put over 200mi on the bike, unlike some of the listers that it would be less than a days ride. 14/45 is what I had on , tried 15/45, then 14/45 and have settled on 14/43 for now. 14/45 was just about right for playing in the woods, but getting there required too many rev's. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Hi, i have a Nolan N70 helmet that needs a new faceshield. My problem is that i cannot get a new one in Montreal, Quebec or near me.
