Has anyone got a system of hauling your bike without using tiedowns? I
have seen a few complicated systems for larger bikes such as goldwings
and harleys. I want something I can build out of metal to go in the
back of my truck that I can either latch my bikes to or bolt it to for
hauling without using tiedowns and pulling down on my forks.

I know this is not what you asked, but just in case, check out: http://www.klr650.marknet.us/forksblock.jpg That is off if: http://www.klr650.marknet.us/ramps.html Mark talks about using a block of wood to protect the fork seals when hauling the bike in a truck while using tie downs. -- Doug Herr doug@...> Has anyone got a system of hauling your bike without using tiedowns? hauling your bike
Just cut a peice of 4X4 and put between the tire and the fender so you
don't compress the springs.

clutch plate removal
this is hypothetical;) what effect would removing say 2 clutch plates
from your bike have on your bike?? with everything else remaining the
same would your bike then feel like the clutch was permanently engaged
such that you wouldn't be able to go forward??
i am looking for some professional advice here. i dont want any
questions as to why i am asking this or what would posses me to do
such i just want to know the mechanics/physics behind it so that i can
figure stuff out for myself. if i was to explain you would think me
crazy and perhaps stupid.
glenski - please just answer the question so as not to embarass me
