hid conversion - on hold for a bit of time
I have bailed on HID conversion for this year - The reflector in our
headlamp housing, per input to my post on this and others sites, provided
information that the increased lumens from the various HID 4500 + k kit
Bi-Xenon HID conversions was not delivering a lighting pattern that was
truly usable w/o pissing of oncoming traffic.

I put a 6000k hi/lo in my 89 last week before it was rideable. In the garage
the pattern wasn't that impressive, nor did it seem like there was an
appreciable increase in useable light. Now that it is up and running I'll
give it another shot. I didn't want to take the time to do a proper install
in my unheated garage with the parts scattered around my garage. I'm still
trying to find a suitable (cheap and with a bracket) larger reflector unit.
Check with me in a month.
