new plastic

Post by kurtzwig » Thu Feb 03, 2005 1:56 pm

I have a 2000 klr and the plastic is staring to look a little faded and worn. I'd like to change the plastic (and tank if need be) to a C model. Anyone know where I can get it, and also any problems I might have in doing so? Thanks Kurts

I have to ask. Since the owners manual does not have the torque spec's, how does one know how tight the bolts, nuts, etc... are supposed to be? I ordered the shop manuals but until they come in I'm hesitant to start putting lock-tight on anything other than the fasteners that hold the body panels on (which I have already done). Jon...
