This stuff can save your life. I practiced it for a while until it became unconscious. One day on the street I got into a decreasing-radius corner way too hot, I leaned on the inside bar and peg big-time and heeled it over further than I thought it would ever go. Thank God, I made it through. Another thing I read somewhere is that most fatal crashes came in situations where the bike could have actually navigated the road and stayed upright...basically what the guy said is that the rider just gave up and bailed off, only to be clotheslined by a guardrail or run over. I wish I could remember who wrote it, but he said to stay on at all costs, don't ever lay it down. If you think you can low-side and bail, you will. So get it set in your mind that this isn't an option. I also had a chance to test this one out in very high winds during a bad thunderstorm on a country road I hadn't been on before. Ride Safe!
