Out of 33,000mi in the past three-odd years, probably 3,000mi are actually off of paved roads. That represents a considerable amount of offroad time though, occasionally through really challenging terrain. Lots of days riding 200mi round trip to ride 20mi of single track. About 50% dirt / 50% street.
Fortunately, where I live in Idaho we hit the dirt approx. 5 miles from my
house and can ride endless miles on dirt. Really quite amazing!
If we run out of time we ride a highway on the way back home.
Not a bad choice as the highways have lots of twistys.
Dirt includes mountain and logging roads, as well as technical single
tracks.

I'm getting about 25% of my riding off pavement, maybe as much as 1/3 of it. How ever, that is some of best times i've had in the saddle so I prefer to keep my bike setup for serious dirt riding just in case the mood hits me. I've lived my life in the west, on the edge of public land. From my current home, five miles in many direction gets me to a dirt road that leads to another and another and another. I don't know that I could adapt to living somewhere that I had to spend most my day just riding to and from where it got fun. I would go through withdrawals. That has got to be rough when you just can't get a dirt fix any time you need one. Nearly 99 to 1 street/dirt. I enjoy the little dirt riding I do, but that is not my primary reason for getting this bike, it is just a fun extra that this thing can do as well as it does in the dirt. 90% dirt. I'm one of the few. 14T front sprocket, upgraded springs all over, non-DOT knobbies, bring it on.
