Just a note to say that I bought an Arai XD helmet(dual sport) last
week and love it. Satuday put the wife on the back and did 150 miles
2 up road ride and 100 miles back home on Sunday. The helmet felt
great and the fact that the buffeting is VERY minimal is even better.
I paid $430 at the bike shop "good guy deal". It was well worth it.

better. Yep, these are impressive helmets. I have been using mine for about two months now and even in the gusty New Mexico winds, the helmet is pretty much flutter free. It's amazing how quiet this helmet is despite it's dirt bike design and plenty of surface area that can cause all kinds of noise. nklr- arai xd helmet
Gear lust has bitten (once again).......gotta get one of these. I checked a
couple shops near me and none in stock, so I haven't tried one on yet. How
are these sized compared to Shoei? I have a Shoei in XL, and my hat size is
about 7-3/4. What kind of price on these from Gino or anyone else who can do
mail order? Apparently Arai only likes to sell through dealers.

I also use an XL Shoei (RF-700), and the XL Arai XD fits me very well. Ordinarily Arai helmets are too short for me--my nose is right up against the shield--but the dirt-style design of the XD adds some extra space. Dreas> mail order? Apparently Arai only likes to sell through dealers.

highway pegs? +sprockets
Tilt the bike on its stand and put something under
the right side swingarm or footpeg. Or, if you have a
garage w/rafters overhead, you could do a "reverse
tiedown" w/nylon straps and support the bike tilted on
the kickstand or first back the rear wheel up on top
of some pieces of wood or up an auto ramp. A tree
branch might work too.

Can I just take a
2X12, turn it on it's edge and move the bike so that
the weight is on
the
board and front tire? From reading the manual,
looking at the bike,
the
sprocket change does not look too hard. But of
course, everything
looks
easy till ya do it. Any "but first, disable the
trigger mechanism of
the
torpedo" notes placed at the bottom of the
instructions, kinda thing
I'm
missing?
Regards,
Sam, soon to be wondering
