klr sargent seat

Post by jim.fortner@comcast.net » Sat Mar 27, 2004 5:50 pm

The KLR seat arrived back from Sargent yesterday. As Sargent states on ther\ir web page 3 week in house turn around. A week to ship the seat to them and a week for them to ship the seat back. The fit and finish is very good. I had the driver foam replaced with upgraded foan, griptex inserts, replaced cover, retain stock shape. The quoted cost $167. Observations so far are the foam is between the density of a stock seat (very soft) and a Corbin (very firm). This is what I was looking for so mileage will tell. Wow, that is a nice seat. I might have to invest in one myself. Thanks for posting the pics. Rob D. jim.fortner@... wrote: The KLR seat arrived back from Sargent yesterday. Thanks for posting the pics. I LOVE my Sargent seat for the Monster. The quality is excellent, the shape and support is a huge improvement, and it weighs a pound or two less than stock (they use their own seat pan rather than reusing the stock one). I would expect the KLR version to be similar. Everybody talks about Corbin, and they offer a great service especially if you can go in person, but the consensus (by no means unanimous) on the Monster list is that the Sargent is better and a better deal. I just got in a small quantity of the UFO Superbike low front fenders. First come - first served on these black fenders. Trying to catch up on other orders and finishing up on my T A X E S, so it may be a few days before I can ship these out.
