corbin seat for my klr650

Post by Ted Miles » Fri Mar 26, 2004 5:18 pm

Thank you all for the responses to my question about a seat for my KLR. This morning I went to Corbin in Hollister and had them make me a seat. It was so cool having them make me a custom seat while I waited. They brought out a foamed pan and adjusted it until I was satisfied with it and then made and installed a cover as I wished. A free breakfast at their dinner was even included. I got a modified flat seat with black small alligator on the top, smooth black on the side and red piping around the edges. It looks really nice on the red and black 2004 paint scheme. Only time will tell if it is comfortable but the hour ride to work was much better than stock. Having something custom made while you wait has disappeared from the US, I'd have to compare my experience to being like having a custom suit made in Bangkok, or custom shoes made in Mexico, nether of which I have ever done.
