installed progressive fork springs today

For those of you who have installed the Tusk D-Flex handguards. Do they/will they hit the fairing or a tall windshield at full left or right lock? I just finished installing my Tusk guards and the spoilers. My throttle cables would push a bit against the Kawasaki tall windshield when I locked the bike before, and a bit more so after the Tusks were installed. I am right now trying to find out whether a Dremmel tool or something similar, is safe to just make a bit of a notch to make room for the throttle cables when locked. If not, it will put enough pressure on the fairing and shield to permanently push it toward the left. I have not ridden the bike yet to any extend to see if the Tusk spoilers cut the wind as well as the OEM units. Still snow on the ground here in BC. Make sure that you smooth out the inside of the throttle grip after having cut off the end. If not, you will have your own version of a throttle lock.
