Post by Edmund » Mon Feb 16, 2004 10:46 pm

Anyone know the torque I should reinstall the foot peg screws to? I can't find it in my Clymer manual Edmund A17 in the GI Joe colors

nklr electric trailer brake control recommendations needed...

Post by John in WV » Mon Feb 16, 2004 11:00 pm

Sorry for the topic, but thought I could tap the knowledge base of the list..... I need to purchase a electric brake control unit for my 14' tandem axle trailer, [only 1 axle has brakes] and am wondering which type might be the better unit.... type #1- inertia-activated- Applies power to the trailer brakes in proportion to vehicle's deceleration. type #2-This connects to your brake light switch/wire. The longer your foot is on the brake, more pressure is applied to your trailer brakes. Both are adjustable to your trailer load, and sensitivity. All I know is what I've read on-line, so feel free to correct anything I've mentioned. The only previous experience I have had w/ trailer brake controllers, are the older type that you T-into you hydraulic tow vehicle line. Brand name recommendations appreciated as well..... thank you, John in WV mailto:jemmy@...
