A while back, middle of December I think, there was a post about the
Kytech Machine Works fork brace being made in Canada. Being in need
of a fork brace, and always being interested in new products at good
prices, 85 Canadian Pesos (that day it was equal to $66.07 US!), I
ordered one. Naturally, Murphy being the kind of guy he is, the order
to Kytech went all SNAFU-y and I received a K-9 fork brace for
Christmas. (Thanks, Dad!)
So, obviously, I forgot all about the Kytech unit since I had the K-9
in hand. In the middle of January, I got several apologetic e-mails
from Kytech about some development problems with their server and,
being in the retail technology field myself, cut them some slack and
went ahead with the order. They offered to include a T-shirt with the
brace and I thought that was fair enough. I was still going to owe
some shipping charges ($17 CAD ~$13 US) to UPS, but it was still a
pretty good deal and I was interested in seeing what they had to
offer.
Long story longer, the thing arrived a couple of days ago, although I
never paid any shipping despite the fact that the shipping label
stated COD. I think it looks pretty good, but I'm not a machininst.
In fact, anything that's shiny and cut out of metal impresses me more
than it probably should. So, the question I wanted to ask is:
"Does anyone want to see pictures, or have they already been posted
on the list?"
I haven't been able to monitor the list due to some crazy work hours,
but an offline e-mail to dirk@... to let me know if this
has been covered would be great.
Thanks,
Dirk

I am always here, young Blue-noser. I am sitting in my igloo ice castle eating slices of frozen baby Caribou carcass, greasing my riding boots with whale blubber and polishing my V-Strom with Whitecoat seal skins in anticipation of Spring thaw. I have been in Lurk Mode contemplating some of the Great Mysteries of Life, such as: Why does the average female ( my ex in particular) seem to be a damn sight more trouble than they are worth? Why am I the Grand Poo-Bah of the KLR when I currently don't even own one.......... AGAIN??!! What are the cultural, political and religious ramifications of the Great Doohickey debate?? Hold fast to your snow shovel and take strengh from the knowledge that I will seek you out when the Sun grows strong. All questions will be answered. Steve
