Has anyone ever used this credit program? I am in the market for a KLR, and am thinking about using this, any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff York

I signed up for the Kawasaki Good Times Credit last month. The whole process took about 10 minutes and I was the proud owner of a 2004 KLR650. Zero down and 3.9% financing was hard to pass up. Has anyone ever used this credit program? I am in the market for a KLR, and am thinking about using this, any info would be appreciated. Are you going to pay it off before the interest charges go active (there are some 0% interest programs)go with Kawasaki. Do you have a good credit rating, go with a bank loan. Normaly bank loans for motorcycles (here in WV) are about 9%+-. The Kawasaki "regular" interst is something like 16.9% if you don't get the 0% plans. It's a nice thing (the card)to have in your wallet while on trips, but for purchasing a bike, I'd say go to a local bank and keep your money in your community. just my 3.5% millerized

I went with the 0% for 6 month plan, then got a loan at the local CU for 5%. with the amount I paid off at 0%, I saved cash. I even got $0.21 (that's why no cent symbol) back from Kawi credit. Probably should tear up the card though, TOOOOOOOOOOO tempting. Fireman Ed A17 (who would like another stable mate or five)

Well, I have one of the cards. The dealer I WAS going to use had it processed in short order before I rejected his deal on the bike. Dealer did tell me that a lot of applicants get rejected, buy if your credit report is clean you should have no problems. So now I have the card and zero balance - no harm done, except the 3+- FICA credit scoring points lost temporarily due to credit query. Credit queries can eat into a good credit score, although some states are now making headway into keeping queries from lowering credit scores. I also suspect that the rejections are useful for the dealership as they can then use financing tools that rewards the dealership financially. That's how I got my '03 KLR, but the percentage was 2 point-something. It went up slightly with the '04 models. I pay big chunks at a time so come spring, I can get a 250 for my wife. Unfortunately, it will be red to my green 650... We'll look like a Christmas display. Oh well. Of course, after reading about the "Best KLR Deal EVER" I am tempted to sell my 650 with 2500 mi on it (never dropped, all maintenance, no upgrades however) to someone for next to nothing and go looking for the holy grail of a used KLR with tons of stuff on it. But then, my wife would kick my ass. Have fun with your new "Rudolph."

Actually, the card I have gives me) down, and 3.9% for 36 months on any bike purchase, up to $15k. I expected to pay the new KLR off before the 36th months, so it would have been good for me, but I never used the card. It seems Kawasaki is always tweaking a special promotion or two, so I guess it depends on which promotions are active when the bike hunt begins. You are correct, however, in the high standard rate on this card. USER beware! Read the fine print ALWAYS!!!!!! Mike T A16 Las Vegas -----Original Message----- From: James L. The PO (David Gay) did the dookicky on my A12 but I'd still like to take a look see at it and other internals as well. I'm sure I'd pick up good stuff just being there. I'm in Memphis, what part of TN are you and sorta when would you like to do it? Regards, Sam A12 (looking for a nearly free Concours to add)
