klr 250 tires

Post by btr61 » Mon Oct 20, 2003 10:21 am

I have a '91 KLR 250 and finally get to pick out some new tires. I want some advice on what has worked best for other 250 owners. I ride about 80/20 street/trail. Cost is not a consideration since this is my only real toy with wheels. Any experiences out there with these designs? I am considering: Pirelli - Scorpoin MT 90 Dunlop - 604 Avon - Distanzia Michelin - Sirac Feedback positive or negative about these tires wouold be great! Bryan Readling Davidson, NC

Don't forget Kenda K761's, I think they'll easily hold their own against these tires. Z DC A5X A12X

Listers, The latest Dual Sport News has a great article with even greater photos on the new KTM Adventure by Toby Lampson and TectTips: KLR560 Balancer (Doohicky) System Failure by Kurt Simpson. Although DC might be a banana republic, it most certainely is in the United States ;) http://www.kendausa.com/motorcycle/dirt.cfm?p=04 I ordered mine from http://www.swmototires.com, about $100/set, you'll have to call and special order them. Z DC A5X A12X
