counter shaft nut size

Post by stevekarpo » Sun Oct 12, 2003 8:42 pm

I have a 2000 KLR 650. Can some someone tell me what size(mm) the countershaft nut is that holds the spocket on the engine? Any other input regarding chaning the chain would be helpful. Steve

27mm socket for the STOCK nut 30mm socket for the Sagebrush Machine Shop prevailing torque nut On the chain, you can just cut the old one off, dremel through links or rivet heads, etc. If you're going to reinstall a riveted chain, rather than use a master link type of setup, then you'll have to remove the swingarm to get the chain in there... Follow the appropriate steps in this swingarm maintenance procedure to get it removed, if you need to remove it: http://klr6500.tripod.com/swingarm.htm Mark KLR650 Motorcycle Pages: http://klr6500.tripod.com/ Jaicori Photography: http://www.jaicoriphotography.com/

need copper canyon waypoints

You could try http://uk8.multimap.com/map/home.cgi?db=w3&client=public and start clicking on the map. It gives map-center coordinates and goes down to 1/200,000 (about 5km/inch). Don't know if the canyon route is in enough detail for you. -Jim in AZ
