My left blinker works perfectly,(KLR 650) but right blinker boes not
blink just burns a steady glow.
Does anyone know anything about the set up concerning the blinker
system?
Thanks for any ideas

one of two things 1) bad ground somewhere 2) the flasher unit is jamming =replace paul> blink just burns a steady glow. > Does anyone know anything about the set up concerning the blinker > system? > Thanks for any ideas > David Williams

key blank and first impressions
KLRers,
Jeff here from Rapid City, South Dakota. New to this list and KLRs.
Just bought a used 03 in Dallas, Texas two weeks ago and rode it 1,480
smiles with some friends. A lock smith in Waco couldn't get a key to fit
but when I returned home the lock smith here made me three keys for less
than $9. The key blank he used is a SILCA, made in Italy???, blank
number KW14. They work like a charm.
I've done a couple of oil changes and other minor maintenance items to
the bike. This past week I've ridden it about 260 miles and about 140 of
them on gravel or single track. My impressions of this bike are all that
I'd been led to believe about it. It's a bit heavier than my 91 XT350
but has the power to handle tough situations. I'm gonna need a 15 or
maybe even a 14 tooth front sprocket for dirt work. Also, right at the
top of my list is a good or better belly pan/skid plate. I've heard and
felt numerous rocks and logs bounce off the bottom of the bike and
sometimes even the bottom of my boots. The factory tires are ok but the
rear is smooth like a baby's butt by 3,000 miles. The front is still in
good shape. Riding the Texas hill country at the speed limit or faster
may have something to do with the fast wear. I'm gonna try Kenda K270s
for my winter riding as I think I'll be in the dirt at least 50% of the
time. Then next year when touring season rolls around I hope to be ready
for another set of tires and will probably try something different and
more suited to road and a little dirt work.
Best,
Jeff Saline

blinkers ?
On some cars and trucks, if either the front or rear bulb is burned
out on one side, the whole side doesn't work. Do both of the right
side blinker lights stay on?
