I have a 89 KLR 650 and it runs great except it sometimes becomes
hard to start when hot, or it won't start at all. Seems to be getting
gas as I can smell it coming from the exhast, and it's getting fire,
but it may be a weak spark....Any suggestions. I can put a new plug in
(the old plug will look good, not blackened) and it will fire up.

By the way the info at http://klr6500.tripod.com/doohickey.htm
Marks KLR pages is great and will guide you through step by step. The
hardest thing is getting all the old gasket material off if you break
the gasket.
