I have been a member of this group for some time, but
this is my first time to post to it. I need some help on
the valve adjustment for my 94 KLR250, The manual shows how to
do the shim & bucket type valve and isn't the 250 a screw & locknut
valve, or am I mistaken. I found one post on the 250 valve
adjustment, but it says TDC is when the rocker arms have play in them
and when I follow the directions, for that post or in the book
neither rocker arm seems to have any play. Thanks
any input would help or if you can point me to any info on this.

klr250 valve adjustment
Joe, the 250 does indeed have a screw & locknut adjustment. According
to the 250 manual, and I quote: " Using a wrench on the crankshaft
rotation bolt, turn the crankshaft counterclockwise while watching the
movement of the inlet valves (valves to the rear). When the valves have
just finished opening and closing (moving downwards and returning
upwards), turn the crankshaft in the same direction for about another 1/3
turn until the "T" mark on the magneto flywheel is aligned with the slit
in the inspection window in the magneto cover". End quote. Check you gap
and adjust accordingly. Valve clearances, cold, are: 0.20 - 0.24mm, inlet
& exhaust.
If you don't have any play you may be off 180*, or your valves are
tight.
Hope this helps.
Have fun & ride safe.

corbin flat for sale (new)
I ordered a Corbin Flat for my KLR last week. It looks great, feels
awesome - but raises my feet up an inch and I just got the bike
lowered. So I think it would best serve someone else.
It was the last seat from Corbin (only special orders for a while);
it is black carbon fibre with the grey piping.
I can email pics if you want.
I also will include an almost full bottle of the Corbin Saddle
Cream. The whole package will come in original packaging etc. You
will love the seat.
Looking for first $200. Shipping should be $15 or less via Fedex
Ground. I can have my wife ship it out tomorrow with Paypal.
Cheers,
Sean
