help! my a9 died

Post by eatsleepfish30 » Sun Sep 07, 2003 3:09 pm

Everything was fine, running normal, same sounds, etc. Then whamo!, No engine. I had power to all of my lights but no go. Yes the gas was on. LOL Starter cranking but wouldn't fire off. I opened the throttle half way and she choked to life at a high rpm. I ran her home quick. The only strange thing that was happening prior to the failure, was that she couldn't hold a consistent idle. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance - Ryan

1. Drain float bowl to rule out water in fuel 2. Check carb vent 3.. Check vacuum line to petcock 4. Tight valve clearance? 5. Blocked pilot jet? --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "eatsleepfish30" wrote:

Oh .. one more ... change the paint... I bet if I made my A9 less ugly, it would run better! PauL M. Bober -----Original Message----- From: Judson D. Well, since I've sold my A10, went to a Zook, and no longer need any KLR techy info, I'll be signing off of the DSNKLR650 list. It's been real, and it's been fun, and maybe I'll check in from time to time. If you're mad enough or fishy, you'll still find me on different lists. Laterz, Swede
