I have two problems (well two that are related to the subject):
1. I had a 14 tooth put on my A14 at the shop a few weeks ago while
getting a couple of other things done, and I swear my shop must have
welded the nut back on, because I cannot get it off. I tried leaning
over the seat while stepping on the brake and using a 1/2inch breaker
bar and extension...no good. I then got my lovely bride to step on
the brake so that I could get a good position and put all of my power
into it. After employing a cheater, I proceeded to torque sheer my
extension (I need to cut back on the spinach.) Any ideas other than
taking it to a shop and using an impact wrench?
2. I knew in advance that the countersprocket change on later models
was a challenge, so I ordered one of Jake's right nuts, along with 3
or 4 other goodies. I know he has a stellar reputation here, and in
no way am I questioning it, but is Jake a bit of an
eccentric "artist?" I sent an email asking if he had sent my order,
and my response was a refund via Paypal with an attached remark
that "he makes most of what he sells and others have been waiting
patiently since May." Jake...I sent an email back, but I will repeat
the essence of it here: I did not ask for a refund, or question how
you do business. Your reputation for quality work is impressive. I
just want your nut. I ordered some other things too, and I do want
those, but what I really covet is your nut. How do I get one in my
hands?
Thanks to Jake or anyone else who can help, or recommend a good
therapist for me.

need part number
Go to www.buykawasaki.com and look under the "parts diagrams".
You'll have to enter or pick your year, make, model ect and then you
can access all the same screens that the dealer has, and the same
pics that are in the KLR 600 manuel and KLR 650 supplement manuel.

Did you straighten out the tab on the locking washer behind the sprocket which locks the sprocket nut in place? You didn't mention doing so.
