I want to buy a Fredette wrench for my front and rear axle nuts but
they do not make it in the combination I need. 22mm-24mm. Is there a
replacement front axle nut that makes one of the Fredette wrenches
the right combination. Any info would be appreciated.

John

klr axle wrench
My stock KLR tool mit doesn't have the right size for the front axle.
Am I missing a tool? I bought the bike new. I carry an adjustable
wrench.

My tool kit does not have the right sizes either. I have a 24mm for the rear axle nut and a 19mm which fits nothing. The front axle nut is 22mm. Fredette wrenches do not come in a 24-22 combo. They do come in 19-24 and 22-27. So if I can find either a 19mm head size for the front axle or a 27mm head size for the rear axle I will be able to buy a suitable Fredette wrench. klr axle wrench
I ordered a Fredette wrench in the 21mm X 24mm configuration thinking
that I would either file the 21mm end of the wrench to fit my front
axle nut or machine the front nut down to 21mm to fit the wrench so
that I could carry one wrench to fit both axles. It arrived today and
to my surprise it is actually 22mm X24mm and fits both axles just
fine. It is listed as a 21mm X 24mm but not so. It is actually 22mm X
24mm. A nice wrench and well made. So if you want a Fredette that
fits both axles just order the 21mm X 24mm for a Suzuki on the
Fredette website.

clutch adjustment advice sought
As a new KLR650 owner of a 1998 mount I am looking for advice on
correct clutch adjustment procedure starting at lever coming out of
the engine sidecase. Is there a particular angle to be set at or
performance measure that should determine where the screw is set. I
find current clutch action unacceptable as it seems to drop entirely
in last 1/8 of lever action.
Thanks for any suggestions.
