glove alternative

I recently bought a $24.00 pair of franklin battings gloves to try for riding on and offroad. The gloves have an extra strip of shock absorbing foam sewn in on the palm and thumb area. They also have a nice mesh cloth inbetween the fingers that work great for circulating air and keeping the hands from getting sweaty. So far the gloves have been great ! I will admit maybe not as much protection as a $125.00 pair of racing leather gloves , but are made of leather so should be able to fend of road rash if needed. Very comfortable while riding . Can definitly feel the air between the fingers when riding at speed on the street. Grip is fantastic for off roading ( my KDX not KLR) .Will see how they hold up over time but for $24.00 thought I would share.
