dr vs klr

I'm sure this has been covered here before, but. .. How do the two (DR650 KLR650) compare for city comminuting? like maneuverability and slow speed handling. How would the DR be in heavy traffic being air cooled? Thanks! [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Here's a good write up on the DR vs XR vs KLX: http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mccompare/opendp.html and here's a couple on the KLR: http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mckaw/99klr650.html http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mccompare/valuebike/00valuebike.html Here's the url for the Cycle Trader so you can find a nice KLX. :^) http://www.cycletrader.com/ Ed Duvall, WA

Well actually it was more, I am like on the other side of the planet from you up here in da nort... eh.. Considering there are parts of Canada that I consider the deep south. ;-) Mearly pointed out that the photos could have been posted into the Photo section of the group the message was posted in, thats all. I have enuff stuff to keep track of, let alone joining another group. As for "Your also welcome to ask for ride advice, good places to camp, eat, drink, pick up babes" Dont plan on camping in Texas ever, most likely will never go there, so the eating dont matter, dont drink much anymore these days, and wife says I am not allowed to pick up babes. We might not have the long open areas to practice mile long shots, but I think I can hold my own with a rifle. Anyhow things are a waiting to happen and need to go.. Have fun Looks like http://www.geocities.com/enduraidrally/ is a place I need to get to, and unless I cant get off work I plan on attending, it will be weird to actually ride with other people for a change. share or visit with us. Ain't we good enuff for ya? Them's shootin words down here ya know. ;-) But really folks, all DS riders are welcome to join our little ol' Texas Group. Your also welcome to ask for ride advice, good places to camp, eat, drink, pick up babes, whatever suits your fancy as long as you don't go and start a shooting war. Just kidding, of course.

all about what a "Babe" was. Boy, I sure was wrong. Some of these Texas women are just downright mouth watering, now don't you go telling my wife I said that. Sure, we got our share of heifers, who doesn't. But you got to admit, there is just something about a gorgeous tan woman in Daisy Duke shorts, a tied up open neck blouse, with a gold waist chain and a cowboy hat to top it off. Remember the wolf in the old Betty Boop cartoons? Yeah, that's what I mean. Can make a man darn near disappointed he got married until the old heart kicks in again and reminds you of all the good times you have had with your woman. However, if you are single, you could do a lot worse than some of these Texas gals, that's for damn sure.
