All,
I just bought an 03' KLR650A17 in Texas. The dealer I bought it off of is selling them OTD in Texas with Tax, Title, License, and Inspection for $4973, which was the cheapest price I found. Most other dealers only had one, and were charging full retail, plus outrageous setup. Out of state OTD was something like $4500 if I remember correctly. Price was $4399 before setup, Texas inventory tax, and inspection. He is also selling the extended warranty at dealer cost. $210 for the 3 year, $260 for the 4 year, and $310 for the five year. After I bought mine, I believe he had 4 left in stock. Said he started with something like 20 in October. Nice people who are all family and are on salary. No commission.
Kawasaki City in Irving, Texas - As for Adrain Sifuentes 972-438-9425. Tell him Jim Campbell referred you.
They also had 02 Concours for something like $7700 OTD with Tax, Title, and License.

2003 klr650 available cheap in tecas
That's pretty darn good. I just picked mine up in Houston and the
availability is not that plentiful. Most dealers are getting them 1
or 2 at a time and are sold in as many weeks. I found mine at
Houston Kawasaki, and got it at 5300 out the door (they dropped 150)
and felt pretty good about that because nobody else had any and said
they wouldn't budge because they could sell it a full pop.
As a side comment for those in the Houston area, I don't know if
anyone has had good treatment from AJ Foyt Kawasaki on North Fwy, but
the 3 times I went in there, it may as well have been self service.
Plus they have a tendency to leave you on hold (phone).
My KLR is my second DS/Enduro (82 Suzuki was the first...LOONNGG Ago)
and my forth bike (2 HDs in between). I love this bike. What took
me so long?

Heya,
The AMA website has a story about a Dual Sport Grand Tour. Go to www.ama-cycle.org
Seems very KLR friendly! (and has a KLR in the picture too!)
