Alright then, let me get a little more specific. I rode my KLR650 and had two buddies that each rode their XR400R's on one of the Ridge Runners 500, Angles Camp to Carson City Nevada. As we went over the high passes, up and down the hills, we came across this Cadilack that would slow down during the two lane roads and speed up during the passing lanes. I usually ride last in line, and was waiting for my buddies to pass this cager. At the third passing lane I sped up and did a blocking move on the cage and let my buddies go on by. Later I asked them why they didn't pass at the first passing lane? They both said they were pegged as the cage sped up and were unable to pass. As for the dirt portion of the the RR500, we have to consider a few factors. My buddies like the long and fast trails. I like the enduro single track trails. I like to work the throttle and clutch to navagate a trail, whereas they like to fly. I also consider myself an aggresive rider on the KLR. With that in mind, I was able to just keep up with them in the dirt portions. Hope this clearifies the story some.
