klr #2 arrives soon

Hey Gang, This guy has asked me to help so I'm asking all of you the same... Does anyone have any info on a supposed mod to add a kick start to a klr 650? He says there is a klr 600 kick start kit or whatever that just "bolts on" to the 650 once a hole is drilled in the right side engine cover. Anyway, let me know what you have and I'll forward it to the brave soul wanting to attempt this feat of legerdemain. See Ya... Bill

I am far from being an expert on this, but believe that only worked on the pre 94(?) models. The updated clutch on the newer models prohibits a kit start, even thou the cover still has what looks like could be used as one. Sorry folks the caffiene has completely left the blood stream and im going night night... Spent all day on a 1938 Allias Chambers pushing sand and im pooped. Dooden

Welcome back to the flock. I'm on number two, too, but didn't take any side trips between my A1 and A11. How much are you asking for the P-D? I have a friend in San Jose who claims to want one, but hasn't made much effort to really make a purchase. __Arden
