bike show prizes

Post by longrider_650 » Thu Sep 19, 2002 11:26 am

I am gladly doing this for grins and plain interest in how you all have customized your bikes. However prizes are another story. Actually I was thinking a years subscription to D.S.N would be a nice thing to offer the winner. But then again those in a position to do something like that have been conspicuously quiet/absent re: the show. Alot of listers, familiar to us all haven't bothered to enter at all. You know who you are. However worse come to worse and this trend continues, I suppose I'll have to come up with something myself. If anyone wants to offer up a prize speak up plz. I'll put in a dualsporting t-shirt if you want, the only problem with that is, I may win my own t-shirt :-) But I'm more than happy to help out if I can. Dave Salem OR http://groups.yahoo.com/group/American_Dualsport_Riders http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Oregon_DSR

I think just the prestige of being "Best in Show" would be enough... besides, you get what you pay for... no entrance fee after all! I swear, I'll have a picture or two to you soon! Raining right now, hmmm. wet KLR t-shirt contest too... "longrider_650" wrote:

I'm sure you look great in a wet t-shirt.. but uhhh thanks just the same. Guys shown in thongs or wet Tee will be disqualified. -- In DSN_klr650@y..., PRBKLR@c... wrote:

Well, actually I was just going to lay a wet t-shirt on the bike, but now that you mention it, a thong over the rear rack might be pretty cool too! "longrider_650" wrote:

Not that anyone would be interested but, since I work at the Louise Mandrell theater in Pigeon Forge, TN (close to Deals Gap...kinda). I could offer up free tickets to the show. BTW...it ain't just a country music show or I could stomach it. ;-) Sonny '02 KLR650

After he fixes it, Dooden might want to give my old dead cobra as a prize. Dave longrider_650 wrote:I am gladly doing this for grins and plain interest in how you all have customized your bikes. Ut Oh.... It might have to be a 1 lb coffee can pop-riveted on the end with some nail holes over the megaphone end. Might be able to get that done soon enuff. Speaking of which reckon I should drag my butt out and snap a picture to compete for the most plain looking bike eh ? Dooden Huh... what was that all about again...
