Don't drill it out. The assembly just to the left of the bare grip is in two pieces. The 2 screws are on the back/bottom of the assembly. Take them out and you'll see what to do. The left side went reasonably well, but I'm not sure what to do on the throttle side. When I removed the grip rubber over the end of the bar, I'm confronted with a plastic cap over the end that's got a small hole in the center. Do I drill out the end cap? will the throttle still turn when I tighten it up? Am I missing a mounting kit (I didn't buy a seperate one - just the mounting hardware that came with the guards)?
