corbin seat comfort?

Post by Shane Tucker » Mon Aug 05, 2002 12:16 pm

How comfortable are the Corbin dish seats? Seem like it would hurt my manhood. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Health - Feel better, live better http://health.yahoo.com

dual-star luggage racks????

Pair off the bolts that you can figure out first. The biggest bolts mount to the stock rack, just in front of the relocated turn signals. You didn't mention the turnsignals - I assume you realized that they need those little black plastic spacers to fit in their new location. (I figured this out AFTER I had carefully re-routed the wiring, so I had to go back and do it again.) The next identical pair of bolts mounts next to the set that you just installed - again into the stock rack. Now you should have two longer bolts of different sizes left over. I believe the shorter one went on the left side into the subframe. (Memory could be betraying me here.) Just a heads up: don't undo both lower subframe bolts or the subframe will sag a bit, making fitment tougher. I recall that I originally used the wrong bolt here when I put my set together. I figured this out when it wouldn't tighten up properly because one of the bolts was too short, so it should be obvious once you get started. Another heads up: there's a couple of millimeters of adjustment for the Givi case mounts. To reach the left one I had to remove the tool kit. If you have a socket-drive allen then you don't need to move it, but I was limited in what tools I had with me. (I installed the racks in a campsite after friends had brought them up from Calgary.) A final heads up: don't tighten up everything as you go. Keep the bolts fairly loose to help everything line up. BTW - the racks come with 10 point bolts. Any KLR should have 12.6 in the subframe, and I think it's manadatory if you're carrying two big Givis full of luggage. Dual Star presumably wants to continue to sell upgrade kits. You can go that route, or swing by any bolt supply shop for some tougher bolts. Good luck with the install. The racks are pretty nice I think. I'm soooo happy to be finished with soft luggage! gord
