That's the whole point, man. Riding to work on a non-casual day makes a statement. i.e., "I am a motorcycle enthusiast first and a worker second" Riding to work on a casual day makes an entirely different statement, i.e. "I am a fairweather biking hairdresser, pleathe path the herbal tea" No offense meant, I understand some folks have to kowtow to the man to keep their jobs. That's life in the big city, I guess.... CA Stu

So throw a duffel or box on the back rack with good shoes, a shirt, etc. Change when you get to work. Devon (pulls his Mr. Rogers routine every Wednesday) s2mumford wrote:

Or keep shoes at work along with a change of clothes. I do this when I ride my bicycle to work and have to completely change into non sweaty stinky clothes. And the water cooler can double as a shower, just get in a little early! Karl A14

Me. I'm a cubicle monkey ;-) AND I ride everyday! Gotta change into bus-casual for the boss though when I get to work. Theory about RTW day and the lack of participation or, at least the perception thereof. Most people I know that RIDE, know about RTW day. Those that own a motorcycle but don't necessarily ride it probably don't know about RTW day. Therefore, the same people that ride just about all the time will, of course, participate in the RTW day. The build up for a grand turnout 'seems' to fizzle as only the usual suspects form up. Why is this? I think it is an attitude thing. Ours. The riders. My neighbor owns an HD sporty and she hardly EVER rides. We don't get along ;-), so if I don't tell her, who will? More to the point, I am obsessed with all things motorcycle and we just don't relate that way. To her credit, she does participate in the Memorial Day Ride to the Wall every year....whoo...hooo :-| There are people I know at work who OWN a motorcycle, but just can't imagine giving up the cage comforts of AC/CD/Cell etc., just to ride. Let alone understand the thrust of a unifying event like RTW. Jeez! Oh, well. Anyway, just a theory. Todd (Springfield, VA)

hahahahahaha! That is funny! Yeah I wish that were the case, but the reality of it is that I have to dress nice for work and look presentable, i.e. no helmet hair when I get to work, road grime on my clothes etc. Maybe after your career at Carl's Jr is over you will understand! LOL! No offense meant, just teasing. BTW, I tear it up on the weekends! Take care and ride safe. --- s2mumford wrote:

Awwwwwww I thought you weren't going to get butt hurt, does somebody need a hug? J/K. Actually I'll take a Barry Bonds bobble head doll with that order and I'll have to wait on the manicure until I finish training for my next fight! Cheers! Rob D. --- Stuart Mumford wrote:
