nklr life update

Post by riffraff814 » Sat Jun 29, 2002 2:31 pm

Hey all, Sarah here... Just wanted to give you all an update on my life. Work: Quit weddingchannel.com, moved over to arsdigita.com. That went under February this year, I spent 1 month being Maid of Honor for my best friend (and boy was she lucky I was unemployed). Then collected unemployment for a month while I looked for work. Got a contract gig working for a company whose business plan sounded like what Enron was doing when it got caught. *sigh* Did that for a month, got my money and got out. Unemployment for one more month while I continued sending my resume out. Then I got a great job which I've been at for about a month. :) We basically write billing software for the pr0n industry. So, it's kind of like being back at weddingchannel.com. Just less lace... Play: Met a great guy, took him on the back of my bike for a date. He held on real tight. *good sign* We're coming up on our 2 year dating anniversary, and he proposed last March. We're scheduled to get married in May 2003 up in Yosemite. He took the MSF class and has co- opted the KLR as his beginner bike while I putter around behind him on the CBR. I lost 20 pounds, and now I don't quite compress the suspension enough to reach the ground on the KLR, so it's all for the best anyway. I managed to get him to go to a local rally, but only by putting the bike into the back of his truck for him. He's not quite confident enough to do long days yet. His longest day so far is 100 miles, but he's practicing. Maybe we'll make it out to Utah in 2005 or something. Just thinking of you guys recently (cleaning out old email accounts) and wanted to pop in and say hi. Sarah formerly known as sarah@... now known as sarah@...

Hi Sarah, Nice to hear from you again. Glad you still got your Honda and a new beau. Did you ever find your self an umbrella? http://www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/images/umbrellaklingon.jpg Remember the "old days"? Some of the old-timers are still here and I hope you can stick around a bit. Fred http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com http://www.canyonlandsmotorclassic.com

Only real downside I've found is the expense. Now I have to get (2) of everything when buying new gear. -Scott A14 "thunderdog" Sorrento, Fl

get over it...

For those who are intolerant of others that: - don't measure up to your standards, get over it... - don't have your level of common sense, get over it... - can't anticipate problems as well as you, get over it... - can't think things through as well as you, get over it... - aren't blessed with your mechanical abilities, get over it... - don't take responsibility for their problems, get over it... - can't readily adapt to things, get over it... - don't know if or when they're being a moron, get over it... - complain about products that have flaws, get over it... - discuss their m/c problems, get over it... - like bigger map windows than you do, get over it... - have tank bags that aren't adjustable, get over it... - don't zip things the way that you do, get over it... - try to help others avoid problems, get over it... Apparently, tolerance is as rare as common courtesy and common sense, it's not a perfect world, get over it... ... and quit sniveling & help make it better... That's how I see it. Professor <- compromise & do it my way
