Someone posted about valve shims from other bikes working on the KLR - here's a follow-up . . . I have a few shims I tried to get rid of from my old 1989 Suzuki GS500 (sold) - until I found out they may fit my KLR. From digital caliper measurements, the diameter of the GS500 shims are 29.5mm, and range from 2.40 to 2.70mm in thickness (8 shims). Will these work on the KLR? Hopefully they'll come in handy on my next valve adjustment, otherwise I'd like to get rid of them. Happy riding, Cookie A14
